Amethyst District ARES has EOC stations in several of our communities, thanks to our close partnership with our municipal governments.
Fort Frances EOC station, located in Town Hall, and monitored 24/7.
Sioux Narrows EOC station, located in the Sioux Narrows Municipal Office. It includes public service VHF radios for emergency service organizations.
Kenora EOC station, located at Fire Hall #1. It has remote control for monitoring, and a portable repeater for use when needed.
Nestor Falls EOC station, located in the municipal building. This station includes
a Winlink RMS server that handles RF-
Atikokan EOC station, located in the Atikokan Municipal Office. It includes a spare antenna, handheld radios for emergency personnel, and backup power. Located nearby is the VA3EOA Winlink RMS server. The station also includes an APRS digipeater.
Dryden EOC station, located in Firehall #1, with UPS, backup generator and APRS.
Thunder Bay EOC station, located in Fire Hall #1 near the municipal Emergency Measures meeting room.
